Well done to the Year 2 children at the recent Basic Moves Festival at Newton Rigg. They all had an amazing time, behaved fantastically and came back to school beaming with pride at their collection of stickers!
The sporting year got off to a great start with a team of Year 5 and 6 children representing Clifton School at a High 5 tournament at QEGS. Everyone came back to school saying how well everyone had played and how much they had all enjoyed the afternoon.
Year 1 and 2 children represented Clifton School brilliantly at the Cross Country race at Kirkby Stephen Grammar School in September. They were all fantastic, gave it their all, didn’t give up – even when they wanted to and were, quite rightly, incredibly proud of themselves and each other! Go Team Clifton!
There is a very excited buzz around school last thing on a Friday afternoon when a coach from Carlisle United leads a training session for our children.
Clifton School were well represented at the annual Appleby Sports festival. The children took part in a range of races and were well placed in many events. Well done everyone!
We were very proud of all the Year 1 and 2 children at this year’s Hunter Hall cross country race – everyone really did try their very best! Well done to the Year 1 girls for coming third in their first cross country event.We look forward to seeing what you can do in Year 2!
A muddy run on the green is not everyone’s cup of tea at lunch time but for our intrepid cross country runners and staff it seems to be just the thing!
The Year 2 children were very excited to represent our school at the annual Basic Moves Festival on November 16th.
