Homework

Year 4 and 5 talk homework – 27th September 2019

For Monday 30th September.

Dear colleague,

CONGRATULATIONS! You have been successful in your application to join me, Ernest Shakleton, aboard my trusty ‘Endurance’, on what will be a world famous expedition.

We are setting sail very soon so you must make a list of all the provisions you will pack. I need the list before we board the ship so my stockman can allocate space. It will be very cramped.

You are only allowed to pack NINE items.

I look forward to hearing from you soon,

Best wishes

Ernest Shakleton

What would you pack in your role as ……….. that you applied for? What would you take with you for comfort? For entertainment? For living in such freezing conditions?

TALK ABOUT THIS WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS OVER THE WEEKEND. WE SHALL BE WRITING OUR LISTS ON MONDAY.

Year 6 reading homework and talk homework – 27th September 2019

For Monday 30th September.

Read Chapter Three in ‘THEN’ (p33-39)

Think about how Zoe is feeling at the end of this chapter.

She writes a letter to an ‘Agony Aunt’ asking for advice. If you were writing back to her, what would you say to her? What advice would you give her?

We will be writing these letters next week.
